Welcome love,

I’m so happy you’re here. Knitting is a Love Language is the working title for my next book. This newsletter is an immersive sensory experience woven through storytelling - written, visual, and auditory about the emotional and technical journey of designing an instructional craft book and self-publishing residency to support other artists bring their books into the world.

I’ve been preparing slowly and sometimes obsessively for the last 22 years since I taught myself to knit. Learning the languages of knitting, writing, technical pattern design, photography, graphic design, public speaking, online teaching, corporate brand partnerships, social media marketing, and making money with friends.

Now I’m practicing the art of the weekly offer in the form of a Substack newsletter to share essays about how I got here, what I know, learn, and feel through this next chapter.

My deepest desire is to find you

To cultivate and hold space for an intimate writing community of creatives, queer babes, dreamers, deep feelers, artists, hermit hunnies, storytellers, poets, makers, and Black feminists building worlds of care.

Maybe you too are spinning your own stories, learning how to weave a sacred artifact for the world, for yourself, as the foundation for your creative practice.

Pull up. I want to invite you into this book writing season about striving to feel so blissfully good sharing our stories, the good can only be held by the many.
